PUPPY UPDATE

well, as you may remember, my doggies had
puppies on november 16th. an ad was placed
in the local paper for ANYONE to take them.
the ad is/was to run from sunday to sunday
(jan. 5th - 12th).

a few days has passed...
no one had called. =(

today i get a call from a husband/wife team
interested in the puppies. they came out with
their son and picked out a puppy (the chocolate one).

several hours later... i get a ding at my door.
i open it up and its the same lady...
with 3 other kids.

she begins to tell me that the (chocolate)
puppy she got earlier has been at the door
whining ever since she brought her home.

naturally i was worried...
that chocolate puppy had sat at my back door
and whined to come in... constantly. now
this very same puppy is whining to go out.

the lady proceeds to tell me that it is
obvious the puppy is lonely and misses her
siblings.

she had returned to get another. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

i was still a little concerned because up
until this point, i had already kept a puppy
for myself... and i was in the process of
deciding on whether or not i should keep
another...
my choice was between 2 of the final 3 puppies.
those that were left were: sonntag, rusty
(the rust colored one), and trystan (the
black male). i knew i didn't want sonntag,
but i was having a hard time deciding if
i should keep another puppy, and which of
the 2 i'd choose if i decided to keep one.

so i brought the remaining 3 puppies outside
and nervously watched the 3 kids pick up
a puppy each.
they all obviously instantly loved each
puppy they were holding... and i kinda
twitched... somewhat jealous of the selection
process.

fate won out.

Thats good that the puppies get to keep each other company...

you shoulda said "The first one was free...the second one's gonna cost ya!"

Speaking of dissapearing, someone has said that someone else has joined a cult and is not going to be coming back here. Does anyone know who I am talking about?

to answer your Q, alex...

when the lady came back with the 3 other children,
i got to talk to her a bit about where she lives
and yadda yadda yadda...

apparently she just purchased about 3 acres
in mayflower, put down a brand new double-wide...
and is looking to spruce up the place by adding
a shitload of dogs.

she did mention that her husband hunts...
and would prolly be interested in having a few
dogs to retrieve (which is why i assume they
chose my add -- considering they are part lab).

in addition, she also said that she will be
returning later in the week to get another... or both.

she wants all of them.... *frets*

You do not HAVE to give them all away. I like the idea of get one free, buy the rest. That way you don't have to fret as much.

It's a perfectly accepted religion it is!
I resent the whole cult generalization, i do.
